OF DREAMS AND NIGHTMARE
They are looking at me.
Oh no! What should I do?
The whispers, the wicked grin on their faces
Are scaring me out of my wits.
I can hear the scores of laughter meant for me.
Now, they are not to be seen,
But the guffaws are ringing in my ears,
Their words still reeling in my mind.
The dreams are no longer pleasant;
They have become nightmares devouring my sleep.
I glance at the night sky.
The stars are shining bright in spite of the darkness,
Trying to subdue it.
My eyes slowly drift off to sleep.
There are no more nightmares.
